Louisville police search for alleged robbery suspect in Pleasure Ridge Park

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A search for an alleged robbery suspect is underway Monday afternoon in Louisville's Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.

Officer Chris Baker, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to the intersection of Dixie Highway and Upper Hunters Trace just before 1:30 p.m. after a reported robbery.

Police said the suspect evaded officers and a search of the area is underway.

According to police, the man is described as white and bald with facial tattoos. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and denim shorts. Police said he should not be approached.

Multiple schools in the area were placed on heightened alert while officers searched the area, police said.

In an update at 3:28 p.m., LMPD said those schools could "return to normal operations."

"LMPD will maintain a smaller police presence in the area as officers continue efforts to locate the suspect," the department said. "Residents can expect to see law enforcement personnel throughout the area while the search remains active."

A photo of the suspect was not immediately available.

Anyone who has information that could help investigators is asked to call LMPD's anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD (5673). Tips also can be submitted anonymously through LMPD's online tip portal.
