LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A diner in Old Louisville that was forced to close after a fire might not open back up.

D. Nalley's is located at 970 South Third Street. The property was officially sold to Domino Partners LLC.

"We have talked to them about potentially being able to open back as “D. Nalleys Diner” but no decisions have been made as to what will actually be on the property," D. Nalley's posted on Facebook. "But, we are being considered if it’s going to be a diner and we are thankful to the new owners for that. They have been really nice to us."

The restaurant has been in the neighborhood since 1967 and the most recent owners have kept it going for the past seven years. But the diner has been closed for repairs and renovations after it caught fire back in June.

"It still brings us grief that this incident happened but it was an accident and truth is sometimes life brings curve balls," D. Nalley's said. "We are hoping for the best and staying positive. But, just in case we don’t open back we wanted to say. Thank you."
