LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A restaurant in Louisville's Germantown neighborhood received a national honor for its food and drinks.
North of Bourbon on Goss Avenue was recently named one of the top 50 restaurants in America by the New York Times.
The NYT praised chef Lawrence Weeks and the restaurant's New Orleans cuisine dishes like catfish and gumbo.
"Lawrence Weeks is among a growing cadre of chefs breaking fresh left into New Orleans cuisine with restaurants outside Louisiana," the review says. "... North of Bourbon established Mr. Weeks as one of the region's most exciting new chefs."
North of Bourbon also received an honor this week from the Bourbon Review, naming it one of America's best bourbon bars for its crafted cocktails.
