LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) — The man who championed Goodwill's multimillion-dollar expansion in Louisville's west end suddenly resigned.
DeVone Holt said Wednesday he is stepping down as Goodwill's chief of External Affairs on Friday.
Holt was the face of the campaign, raising money and support for the Goodwill Opportunity Campus at 28th and Broadway.
It's a hub for community resources like childcare, health care and workforce training in the city's poorest community.
When it opened in March, Holt, who grew up in the west end, called it his crown jewel achievement.
He didn't offer a reason for the resignation.
In a statement, Goodwill's CEO thanked Holt for his work over the last five years and wished him the best.
