LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- We're now into grilling season and the higher prices of beef, chicken, and ground beef are surely noticeable.
Some other grocery prices are actually down compared to others.
Boneless chicken breasts are $1 a pound higher than last year, all while ground beef prices have hit a record high of $5.80 a pound.
Lower grocery inflation may not feel like lower inflation with the current prices.
Egg prices are down sharply the past two months, along with pork, bacon, and orange juice.
As a result, grocery inflation is up just 2.8% in 2025. But if you are grilling, it's not going to feel like it.
