Five Iron Golf Downtown location in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Five Iron Golf now has a second location in downtown Louisville.

Louisville officials joined franchise owners Peter McCormick and Alex Zega on Thursday for the grand opening at 104 S. Fourth Street. Ella Sizemore, a duPont Manual High School junior and history-making sixth region golf champion took the ceremonial first swing.

The $750,000 project transformed the long-vacant storefront into an indoor golf and social destination.

Five Iron Golf opened its first location in NuLu in the spring of 2024. The new downtown location is expected to drive renewed activity and foot traffic around 4th Street Live and the downtown area.

The new 5,000-square-foot venue will feature Trackman simulators, a full-service bar and favorite menu items from the NuLu location.

"This location represents another chapter of our investment in Louisville and in downtown," franchisee Peter McCormick said in a news release. "Activating this space and helping bring more energy to the area is something we’re proud to be part of. We want people to feel like there’s always a reason to come downtown and enjoy something new."

The Trackman simulators will have access to more than 300 courses worldwide, including iconic destinations such as Pebble Beach and St Andrews, as well as PGA TOUR venues and Louisville-area favorites such as Valhalla Golf Club.

The downtown location has lounge seating with a full-service bar, signature drinks, bar snacks, and big-screen TVs playing live sports.

The first 100 people who sign up for a membership will receive a limited Founding Membership, according to the news release.

Founding Members receive an elevated welcome package featuring $100 in club credit, exclusive Five Iron merchandise and a personalized bag tag.
