LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A ribbon-cutting was held Tuesday for Frazier Rehab's expanded rehab program at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in southwest Louisville.

The expansion was possible thanks to a Kosair for Kids grant, according to a news release. The expanded center will offer more space to accommodate more kids and staff. It's furnished with innovative new equipment and technologies.

The center will provide services for patients ranging in age from infants to teens.

The expansion more than doubles pediatric rehab space. It also offers support for many issues, including autism, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, scoliosis, Down syndrome, torticollis, dysphagia, and traumatic injuries caused by motor vehicle accidents, according to the release.

In 2024, Frazier Rehab’s outpatient network served more than 400 pediatric patients, with more than half of those being treated at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. The center has been operating in that space since 2016.
