LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The owners of the House of Marigold in east Louisville are opening their second location in NuLu in 2026.

According to a news release, the second restaurant will be located at 624 E Market Street. Husband-and-wife duo Adrienne and Kris Cole opened the first House of Marigold in March 2023 on Shelbyville Road near Dorsey Lane. It built on the success of their Marigold Catering Company.

Like the original location, the second House of Marigold will focus on Southern comfort food, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch -- and for the first time, there will be a dinner menu.

"The ultimate goal has always been to have a place that houses everything all together — catering, events, private dining, restaurant and showcase dinner — and this is it; this is our dream manifested," owner and co-founder Adrienne Cole said in a news release.

The nearly 13,000-square-foot space will include a greenhouse bar and dining area. The eatery will also feature a rooftop bar, a chef’s table overlooking a glassed-in kitchen, and a private dining mezzanine.

"NuLu features some of the city’s most iconic restaurants and attractions, so we were thrilled to see the potential of this space to fill that missing dining component that we’re confident we will bring to Louisville," Cole said in the release.

House of Marigold was named Southern Living Magazine's "Best Restaurant in Kentucky in 2024." It was also featured in Ebony Magazine's "EBONY Eats 45" list, which highlights several establishments from mom and pop restaurants to James Beard Award-winning chefs and restaurants.

Besides its flagship restaurant in the Middletown area, the couple also owns est. 1927 by Marigold, a counter-service café at the Speed Art Museum that opened in 2024.

In January 2025, the owners announced plans to open another restaurant in Norton Commons this summer, but that project fell through.

"We are so excited to be looking at a spring opening for The House of Marigold in NuLu," Cole said. "We were disappointed we had to step away from opening in Norton Commons for now, but it was a blessing in disguise because it allowed us to pursue this location."

House of Marigold at 10310 Shelbyville Road is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
