LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A locally owned restaurant is opening a second location in Louisville.
House of Marigold plans to open its second location this summer at 10715 Meeting St. in Norton Commons. The first House of Marigold restaurant, known for its southern comfort food, was opened in March 2023 by Adrienne and Kris Cole.
"Norton Commons is a fantastic place for its walkability and as a hub of activity for independent small businesses," Adrienne said in a news release. "We are particularly excited to be able to offer inviting patio seating at the new location."
The restaurant was named Southern Living Magazine's "Best Restaurant in Kentucky in 2024." the restaurant also made Ebony Magazine's "EBONY Eats 45" list, which highlights several establishments from mom and pop restaurants to James Beard Award-winning chefs and restaurants.
Breakfast dishes on the menu include Marigold biscuits in multiple ways, lemon ricotta flapjacks, French toast with bourbon maple syrup. Lunch options include farmhouse beet salad with citrus ricotta, a Royale with cheese with local Berry beef, and chargrilled salmon.
The restaurant is sourcing from local growers, farmers and purveyors like Berry’s Beef, Blue Dog Bakery, Kenny’s Cheese, Quills Coffee, Fleur De Tea, The Pocket Bakery and more.
The restaurant has a full coffee bar with signature lattes plus a full cocktail bar.
