LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersonville city leaders are planning a ribbon cutting ceremony this week for the first completed home in the city's new Springdale Meadow neighborhood.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon -- less than three months after officials held a groundbreaking ceremony in late June.Â
Springdale Meadow's first home is located at 11 Cedar Grove Lane (formerly 61 Louise Street). The new development will feature 10 new homes with prices starting at $260,000. Prospective homeowners can choose three-bedroom, two-bath homes featuring a two-car garage, granite countertops, and a covered back patio.
Cedar Grove Builders is the developer on the project.
"This home is beautiful and we are excited to welcome new families to Jeffersonville," Mayor Mike Moore said in a news release. "We sincerely hope many take the time to check out Springdale Meadow."
City leaders said the new neighborhood is part of an effort to provide more high-quality, affordable housing options for families.Â
