LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Kingdom plans to expand with a new family-oriented section of the park.

In a news release, the park said it plans an $11 million addition that will include three all-new, family-friendly rides. It will also re-theme ten rides to give them a Kentucky twist.

The additions also include a new 4,800 square foot playground for younger guests. Two dining locations will also be reimagined to serve local dishes.

“As a family-centered park, we’re dedicated to creating spaces that bring loved ones together, and this new land is our way of celebrating our Kentucky roots while offering exciting new experiences for our guests,” said Kentucky Kingdom General Manager Sara Worrell in a release.

Details about the new attractions will be released later, but the additions will debut in May 2025.

The announcement is part of Kentucky Kingdom's plan to invest $25 million over the next two seasons.
