LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville restaurant will close its doors after 13 years this weekend.
Louisville Metro Councilman Khalil Batshon said he's closing his restaurant, Khalil's Restaurant, to focus exclusively on catering services as of this Saturday, Aug. 31.Â
"We want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible team and loyal customers," Batshon said in a Facebook post on Monday announcing the closure. "Your support has been the cornerstone of our success."
Cluckers Wings will open in its place. Batshon said they are working closely with Cluckers to provide opportunities for staff to join their team.
"We are confident that Cluckers Wings will bring fresh energy and delicious offerings to our beloved location," he said in the social media post.
The catering business will be located on Dixie Highway as Khalil's Catering.
