LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville nonprofit focused on revitalizing the city's west end is moving its headquarters.
OneWest was formed in 2014 to economically revitalize the city's west end. The nonprofit that helps small businesses is expanding into an 8,000 square-foot location in the Shawnee neighborhood.
The office will be located inside the former Center for Women and Families building. The economic development organization plans on renovating much of the space into a 24-hour daycare, specifically for families who work third shifts.
"We want to make sure those employees feel comfortable and confident that they can come maybe have dinner with their children before going in and then also be able to come and check on their children," said Evon Smith, OneWest CEO.
Once a child care service provider is selected, renovations in that section of the building will take about a year.Â
