LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The KFC Yum! Center is hosting a major hiring event aimed at filling more than 100 full-time and part-time positions.

It's being held at the arena in downtown Louisville on Friday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and again from 4-6 p.m. in the lobby.

The arena is looking to hire event set-up crews, security, culinary positions, ushers, maintenance and ticket takers. It is also looking to hire people in guest services and housekeeping.

The arena's Marketing Director Sandra Moran said there are several Fall events coming up, including Justin Timberlake, Jelly Roll, Maxwell, Lil Wayne, Kacey Musgraves, NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championships, and University of Louisville basketball and volleyball games.

"With the holidays coming up, we think it's a great way, a fun way, for people to come and earn a few extra dollars. It's just such a vibrant and exciting atmosphere at the arena. So you're going to do something where you're around people that are there to enjoy themselves and have fun," Moran said. "It really is a fun place to work, no matter what your job is, everyone there seems to have a lot of fun. So we're just looking for happy, smiling people who want to work at a place that they really enjoy."

Applicants must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent. They plan to conduct interviews Friday and hire on the spot.

"It's the perfect time to come, because you can get a quick answer and find out right away if you're hired," Moran said.
