Nintendo goes mobile with release of Super Mario Run

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nintendo is giving gamers a chance to play on the go with the release of its first game designed for smart phones.

"Super Mario Run" made its debuts on Apple iOS devices, allowing users to tap the screen to make Mario jump, instead of using a controller.

It's a shift toward the rest of the gaming industry, moving past consoles and computers.

Super Mario Run is available in iTunes.
