Parlor Doughnuts New Albany

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Parlor Doughnuts now has a location in New Albany.

That's according to our partners at Louisville Business First

The new shop, located at 3531 Grant Line Road in the former Which Wich sandwich shop, opened Aug. 16.

Founded in Evansville in February 2019 by Darrick Hayden and Josh Tudela, Parlor Doughnuts now has more than 50 locations nationwide. Its menu features 30 varieties of doughnuts, including gluten-free, vegan and keto options, along with breakfast items such as açaí bowls, avocado toast, sandwiches, tacos and coffee beverages.

The New Albany store is the second location for Grant Welp, who opened a 2,200-square-foot store in Jeffersonville in 2024. He previously worked in franchise development for the company before deciding to become a franchisee.

"When I first spoke with Darrick, I wanted to be a franchisee," Welp said. "Then things shifted, and I worked corporately for a while. I revisited the idea about a year ago."

Welp said he plans to open at least three locations, depending on real estate availability.

Another franchise group owns the rights to develop stores in Greater Louisville. Franchise fees range from $35,000 to $50,000, depending on the territory.

Parlor Doughnuts is open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
