LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A wine and whiskey festival was held for the first time in Shepherdsville on Saturday.
The City of Shepherdsville partnered with Shepherdsville/Bullitt County Tourist Convention Commission for the Wine Whiskey & Ale Fest at Shepherdsville City Park.Â
There was live music, local food trucks, yard games and more. The event was free to attend, but adults could pay $10 for tasting cards.Â
"We're here to probably create a new client base," wine vendor Jim Wight said. "We have been here as a winer for 17 years -- been a vinyard for 28 years."
Some of the participating bourbon and wine makers included James B. Beam Distilling Co., Four Roses Warehouse & Bottling, Forest Edge Winery, MillaNova Winery, Wight-Meyer Winery, Brooks Hill Winery and Gallant Fox Brewing Co.Â
