LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Four Roses Distillery is releasing a special collection for the parents.
The Mother's Day Private Barrel Selection is a 14-year OBSQ bourbon bottled at 115.78 proof.
The collection begins with crisp oak, sweet vanilla and candied fruit, followed by a palate featuring bright ripe berries, honey, and caramel. It settles in a long, rich finish accented by cherry notes and creamy barrel tones, according to the tasting notes.
The special release will be available starting Tuesday, May 6. Each bottle costs $139 with a limit of two bottles per person, per purchase.
Four Roses also has a Father's Day collection coming soon. That collection, available June 20, will feature a 128.71 proof, 14-year OBSV bourbon.
According to the tasting notes, it will open with delicate apricot and fruit aromas that lead into a smooth, mouth-coating palate featuring bright pear notes and rich barrel character. The finish brings layers of rye spice, cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa.
