LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Butchertown is about to get a late-night flavor boost.
Chica’s Cantina opens Feb. 6 at 1015 E. Main St., bringing tacos, cocktails, and a lively vibe to the Butcher Block development.
The restaurant takes over the former Butcher Block Barbershop space next to MoonDog, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
It’s the latest project from husband-and-wife team Vikrant Multani and Christian Nava, who ran Shahar Café in Shelby Park for seven years.
Chica’s Cantina will feature about seven taco styles, an elevated cocktail program overseen by bar manager Bentley Harrell, imported Mexican beers, and a variety of mocktails.
The restaurant will be open daily, closing at 11 p.m. on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends, giving Butchertown a new late-night spot for food and drinks.
"Everything else around here leans more toward fine dining," Nava said. "We’re bringing something fast and casual — exactly what the Butcher Block needs."
With affordable tacos, creative drinks, and late-night hours, Chica’s Cantina is ready to become a neighborhood favorite.
