LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — After years of construction delays and anticipation, a new will open next month in Louisville's Germantown neighborhood.
TANA, short for Taiwanese New American, will open July 15 in the former Eiderdown space on Goss Avenue.
The restaurant will feature a bar, patio, semi-open kitchen and private dining room. Chef Ming Pu will blend flavors of his native Taiwan with influences from his culinary career in the American South, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
TANA's menu includes creative takes on Taiwanese and Cantonese dishes, including the mapo tofu cavatelli with Sichuan pork ragu, three cup tuna tartare with scallion pancake and the TFC, a whole semi-deboned fried chicken.
Desserts will include items like brown butter egg tarts and a five-spice babka bread putting.
"The food at TANA is my history and tells our story, and we're happy to get to share it with the community we love so much," Pu told LBF. "TANA has been our dream for years, and we're glad to be ready to open the doors and invite you all in to experience it with us."
Reservations are expected to go live in the coming weeks. TANA is already drawing national attention ahead of its debut, earning a spot on Bon Appétit’s list of most anticipated openings.
