The Eagle opens in Oxmoor Center for restaurant's second Louisville location

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new dining option has opened at Oxmoor Center.

The Eagle opened its second Louisville location on Monday. It's at the back of Oxmoor, next to Topgolf.  

The regional restaurant already has a location on Bardstown Road in the Tyler Park neighborhood. The restaurant specializes in southern comfort food like fried chicken, grits, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and more. 

"We really wanted to come out a little further out from the city and with this opportunity next to Top Golf and right at Oxmoor it was just an opportunity we could not pass up," said John Lanni, co-founder of The Eagle.

The Eagle is owned by Cincinnati-based Thunderdome Restaurant Group owns 51 restaurants in cities like Nashville, Indianapolis, Columbus, and Detroit. The company also recently opened up Bakersfield on Bardstown Road in the former HopCat location.
