Buy Local Fair highlights Louisville businesses at Lynn Family Stadium

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB/WAVE) — Louisville's annual Buy Local Fair returned Sunday to Lynn Family Stadium.

The free event was hosted by the Louisville Independent Business Alliance. There were booths from local shops, organizations and artists, along with live music, food and drinks, a cooking competition and family-friendly activities.

A portion of parking proceeds benefits LIBA, a nonprofit that promotes locally owned businesses.

“Studies have shown that when you spend dollars local, a higher percentage stays recirculating in the local economy. And when we think about the kind of community we want to live in, a lot of times we think about those local businesses,” LIBA executive director Jennifer Rubenstein said.
