LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The clean up effort at Waterfront Park is underway following Thunder Over Louisville.
Officials are calling the amount of trash left by the crowds during Thunder Over Louisville 'moderate.'
Samuel Ellis, president and CEO of Jim Reynolds Asphalt, oversaw the clean-up efforts. He says most people did a good job keeping Waterfront Park and the surrounding area clean.
His crews cleared a large amount of trash overnight, before about 300 volunteers picked up the remaining trash at the park and around the area on Sunday morning.
Ellis expects volunteers to complete work sometime on Sunday afternoon.
