LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A motorcyclist is dead after an early morning crash near Louisville's Waterfront area, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Around 2:41 a.m. Thursday, police located a single-vehicle motorcycle crash at the intersection of East Witherspoon Street and North Preston Street.
Preliminary information indicates a man operating the motorcycle lost control, struck a curb and crashed.
The rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the driver as 30-year-old Weslee Estrada.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is leading the investigation.
