LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Long-time member and former president of Louisville's Metro Council, David Yates, files to run for Kentucky state senate.
Yates is running for the 37th District seat currently held by Senator Perry Clark, which covers much of southwestern Jefferson County. Senator Clark is set to retire following the 2020 session after more than 25 years in the legislature.
Yates has served on Metro Council since 2010.
