LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg in Louisville's Phoenix Hill neighborhood Monday morning.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers responded to a reported shooting in the 600 block of Baxter Avenue just after 12:30 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a man in a parking lot that had been shot in the leg.
Officers applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding until EMS arrived. He was alert and conscious and taken to University Hospital with injures that are believed to be non-life-threatening, according to Ellis.
There have been no arrests made in the case so far. LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit is handling the investigation.
