LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 14-year-old boy who died two days after being shot in the head in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood in June has been identified.
Kameron Morris died June 16 at University of Louisville Hospital, The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Thursday.Â
The shooting happened June 14, 2025 in the 1600 block of Bulger Court, near South 11th Street, around 8:35 p.m.Â
When police arrived on scene, they found Morris, whose age and name weren't known at this time, with a gunshot wound. In the initial release, Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said the victim was taken to the hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries. Two days later, the boy died.

According to online court records, Aalijah Gray was taken into custody around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Oct. 15, in connection to the shooting. He appeared in arraignment court Thursday morning, where the judge set his bond at $150,000.Â
Gray is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 24.
