LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A boy died two days after being shot Saturday night in the Algonquin neighborhood, Louisville Metro Police said Tuesday.
LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Bulger Court, near South 11th Street, around 8:35 p.m.
When police arrived on scene, they found the boy, whose age isn't known at this time, with a gunshot wound. Ellis said the victim was taken to the hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries. Two days later, on Monday, the boy died, Ellis said.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting. Detectives are trying to determine what led up to the shooting and a possible motive.
