LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A teenage boy was shot in the Shawnee neighborhood Thursday afternoon.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to the area of 41st and West Market streets on a reported shooting at 3:15 p.m.
Police said they found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot. He was alert and conscious when taken to UofL Hospital, and his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
