LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An 18-year-old Louisville man was in court Friday morning facing charges in a non-fatal shooting.
DeReon Spencer pleaded not guilty to assault in connection to a shooting that happened on New Year's Day.
Louisville Metro Police investigators said Spencer shot the victim while trying to sell a gun to them on North 25th Street near the Portland neighborhood. The arrest citation said he was arrested Thursday at Seneca High School.
The judge set his bond at $25,000 full cash. He is due back in court on Feb. 16.Â
