LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 18-year-old accused of stabbing a 15-year-old to death last weekend pleaded not guilty Monday morning.
Kaden Seviour was initially charged with murder. He appeared in court Monday.
Attorneys raised concerns about his safety in jail because they said he has autism. But the judge kept his bond at $250,000 because of the seriousness of the crime.
Isabelle Verbaere was the victim in the killing, according to her family. LMPD responded to a stabbing in the 5300 block of Buckner Avenue, near Southern Parkway, around 7 p.m. March 1. Officials said Verbaere died at the scene.
Felicity Kron said her sister and Seviour knew each other from school. They were in the same special education classes.
