LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman arrested for a fire at a Louisville apartment complex over the weekend reportedly said she was "going to kill everybody."
According to an arrest citation, 68-year-old Elizabeth Radmacher was charged with arson, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief for intentionally setting her apartment on fire.
It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at an apartment complex off Tazwell Drive. Other residents in the building were forced to evacuate for safety. Court documents say that while outside, multiple residents and police heard Radmacher say "I'm going to kill everybody." She also reportedly claimed someone else made her set the apartment on fire.
One person was taken to the hospital. The fire caused about $100,000 in damage, according to Radmacher's arrest citation. Police said she was in the process of being evicted before the incident.
Radmacher is being held at Metro Corrections in downtown Louisville.
She pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Thursday morning, where her bond was set at $50,000 cash.
