LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — One person was hospitalized after an apartment fire in east Louisville early Saturday morning.
Anchorage Middletown Fire Deputy Chief Matt Sutt said they responded along with St. Matthews Fire to the 11400 block of Tazwell Drive around 3 a.m. on a reported apartment fire. That's off Accomack Drive near Westport Road.
Crews found smoke coming out of the first floor of the two-story apartment building. Sutt said one resident was taken to the hospital.
It took 29 firefighters about 19 minutes to gain control of the fire. Two residents were displaced because of smoke and fire damage, Sutt said.
Louisville Metro Arson is investigating.
