LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men were indicted earlier this month on murder charges more than a year after a fatal shooting in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.
Andra Jennings, 35, and Kris Owens, 22, were indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury on Dec. 15. Each faces a complicity to murder charge.
The charges stem from an April 17, 2024, shooting at Nelligan Avenue and 16th Street, just south of Northwestern Parkway. Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to that area around 10:15 a.m. to find a man — identified as 34-year-old Julius Gray — with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In announcing the indictments Monday, LMPD said its investigation into this shooting remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call LMPD's anonymous Crime Tip Line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the department's Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
