LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man has been indicted on murder charges by a Jefferson County Grand Jury in connection to a 2019 deadly shooting in Louisville.

Rotez Sykes, 24, is charged with murder, robbery and tampering with physical evidence in the death of Martinus Williams Jr., according to Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson John Bradley.

The shooting happened on July 31, 2019 in the 2300 block of West Oak Street near the Park Hill and California neighborhoods. 

Sykes is currently booked at the Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex, and is expected to be transported to Jefferson County though a date has not yet been set.
