"This is a pretty calm, safe neighborhood and now there's been a murder," Kyndra Cooksey, who lives in the area, said. "I'm shocked."
There's a vehicle with at least three bullet holes on the scene but police haven't confirmed if it was a drive-by shooting.
"I was on the phone with my mom when it happened and over the phone I heard her yelling and it was just like oh my gosh, like, so sad," Cooksey said.
Witnesses told WDRB they heard gunfire and saw a gray Kia drive off. Others said two men quickly jumped out of the car and opened fire into the back of another vehicle.
The Louisville Metro Police's Homicide Unit is investigating.
