LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was arrested after a fatal shooting in Bullitt County early Sunday morning.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to a shooting in the 3000 block of Pioneer Trail in Shepherdsville just before 4:30 a.m.
Police said troopers found Aaron Welker, 33, dead from gunshot to the head in the kitchen of the home.
KSP detectives then interviewed Kent Russell, 34, who was at the scene at the time. He's since been charged with murder and was taken to the Bullitt County Detention Center.
Russell was arraigned on Monday and is scheduled back in court on July 8.
