LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after an apparent road rage shooting Friday afternoon on Interstate 65 near Scottsburg, Indiana.
Sgt. Carey Huls, a spokesperson for Indiana State Police, said a shooting was reported just before 3:30 p.m. on northbound I-65 at the 27-mile marker, just south of Scottsburg.
According to police, two men came to a stop on I-65 in the left lane and got out of their vehicles. Police said one man shot the other.
Police said "all parties" were talking with investigators.
In an update, police said 28-year-old James Dowell, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, was arrested in connection to the shooting. Dowell was charged with attempted murder and taken to the Scott County Jail.
Police said the victim was flown to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A mugshot for Dowell was not immediately made available.
