LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 29-year-old man was identified Thursday as the victim of a fatal shooting May 6.
Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department, said officers responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of West Chestnut Street just before midnight.
When they arrived, they found a man unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Jashawn Crook was pronounced dead on the scene.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating. There are no known suspects.
