LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Breckinridge County sheriff's deputy was taken to the hospital after being shot Saturday night, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP Trooper Scotty Sharp said in a news release Sunday two BCSO deputies responded to a domestic incident at a residence near the 2100 block of KY 2779 around 6 p.m. CST Saturday.
According to police, 53-year-old Julio Morales Ceballos fired and hit two cruisers. One of the deputies was struck and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Morales then fled into a wooded area.
On Sunday, Sharp said Morales was arrested by police. He was considered to be armed and dangerous.
His current warrant includes charges for attempted murder of a peace officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and assault fourth-degree domestic violence minor injury.
