LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An episode of "Nancy Grace" from 2015 is now part of the evidence in the Crystal Rogers murder case

A copy of the episode, which aired July 9 on CNN's Headline News network, was filed into evidence Wednesday with the Nelson County Circuit Court.

In a roughly 10-minute interview just days after Rogers' disappearance, Grace talked to Brooks Houck, her boyfriend at the time of her disappearance and the father of one of her children, and her parents, Sherry and Tommy Ballard.

Houck interview with Nancy Grace from 2015

Brooks Houck's July 9, 2015 interview with Nancy Grace was added to the evidence in the Crystal Rogers murder case.

The Bardstown mother of five had not been seen or heard from since the night of July 3.

In the interview, Grace questions Houck on whether he ever reported Rogers missing.

"So Brooks, you go to bed and she's still playing games on her phone. The next morning, around 8 o'clock, you notice that she's missing. Did you report her missing?" Grace asked.

"No ma'am," Houck responded.

"Why?" said Grace.

"That is a great question and one that I definitely want to get to the public and to the media," Houck said. "I was not in the least little bit alarmed in any shape or form. We have had a stressed relationship at times and one of the ways Crystal has always chose to cope or deal with that is by going to a young woman named Sabrina, that is her cousin, she spent the night there on several occasions."

The couple had made plans to go to a family gathering on July 4. Houck said he went anyway, even though he didn't know where Rogers was and didn't try to call her.

"Usually the maximum period (of) time she's stayed gone has only been a day, a day and-a-half at the most, and as a result of that I thought that she would come join us," he told Grace.

She also asked about his involvement in the search for her and the results of his polygraph test.

Houck said in the interview that the results of his polygraph test came back "inconclusive."

"Some have accused you of not being involved enough in the search efforts," Grace said. "What's your response?"

"That is a great question and one I appreciate you asking me," Houck responds. "And that's because all of my efforts in searching for her have happened behind the scenes with the Nelson County Sheriff's Office."

He went on to tell Grace that he is "100% innocent" in the case.

"I've been 100% completely honest with everyone," he said. "I've been 100% cooperative in everything that has been asked from me."

The 9-year-old interview now submitted as evidence by Special Prosecutor Shane Young this week in Nelson County Court.

"I'm 100% completely innocent in this and I have exhausted my efforts with the law enforcement agencies to gather all the facts necessary to allow me to have a clean name again," Houck said. "I have not responded to all of this negativity and animosity because I want the emphasis to remain on Crystal's safe return home and that's where I want it to stay focused in that area."

Despite being named the main suspect in Rogers' disappearance for years, Houck wasn't arrested and charged until last September.

Houck, Joseph Lawson and Steve Lawson were all arrested last year in connection with Rogers' murder.

Last month, prosecutors and attorneys for the three men agreed that the trial should be moved from Nelson County and into Christian County. They agreed in March that there has been too much publicity since Rogers disappeared in 2015 to find an unbiased jury in Nelson County.

The trial is set for next year.
