LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 24-year-old man shot and killed in Jeffersontown Tuesday evening has been identified.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Derrick Minott, Jr., of Louisville.
According to Jeffersontown Police, Minott and a female were sitting in a car in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Palmetto Circle, off Old 6 Mile Lane, around 8 p.m. when another car drove up, firing multiple shots that hit Minott and the female.
Minott died at the scene, while the female was taken to a local hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. Police have not provided an update on her condition.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. At last check, there had been no arrests.
