LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A person is dead and another hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday evening at an apartment complex in Jeffersontown.
According to Jeffersontown Police Chief Rick Sanders, a male and a female were sitting in a car in the parking lot of the complex on Palmetto Circle. That's off Old 6 Mile Lane, not far from Taylorsville Road.
Sanders said another car drove up just after 8 p.m. and fired multiple shots into the car, hitting both the male and the female.Â
The male was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female was taken to a local hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The ages of the victims were not immediately available.
Sanders said the investigation is in the early stages. There are no suspects and no arrests.
