LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Court records identify the Southern Indiana man charged in a child exploitation investigation as a federal immigration employee.
According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, 49-year-old Jorge David Rodriguez was arrested May 28 as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.
Police said the ICAC unit began investigating in February 2025 after multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicated a Verizon subscriber account in Charlestown, Indiana, was accessing child sex abuse images and videos.
Detectives obtained search warrants and arrested Rodriguez shortly after at his home, police said. Officers also seized digital devices allegedly used in the crimes.
The probable cause affidavit lists Rodriguez's employer as U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services and includes a Louisville work location.
Rodriguez is charged with one count of child exploitation and nine counts of possession of child sex abuse material, all Level 5 felonies. He pleaded not guilty Tuesday and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
His next court date is scheduled for July 1.
