LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two of the biggest names in the outdoors industry are a step closer to merging.

On Tuesday -- a week after the Federal Trade Commission gave its approval -- Cabela's shareholders approved a proposed deal for Bass Pro Shops to purchase the hunting and fishing supplies chain.

There's a Bass Pro in Clarksville, Indiana, and a Cabela's in Louisville's east end.

The merger is worth about $4.2 billion and is expected to close in the third quarter.

There's no word on whether any stores will close.
