LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 19-year-old Elizabethtown man has been arrested after an infant was found with serious injuries, according to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
Zachary Foster is charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.
Police said an investigation began Oct. 28 after Child Protective Services alerted deputies to possible abuse.
Over the following two weeks, the child’s parents and several medical professionals were interviewed to help determine how the injuries occurred.
Officials have not released details about the infant’s condition or what led police to Foster, but said the injuries to the infant were significant.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains ongoing.
