LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Illinois man was sentenced to life in prison for aggravated sexual abuse of a minor this week, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Larry Bryan Nash, 40, was sentenced to life in federal prison, announced by U.S. Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky and Special Agent in Charge John McCabe of the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Campbell.

According to court documents, Nash was stationed at Fort Campbell Military Reservation in Christian County while enlisted in the U.S. Army. Prosecutors said he forced a minor to engage in sexual acts on multiple occasions between March 5, 2020 to Sept. 16, 2021. Nash used forced against the victim on Sept. 29, 2021, according to a news release.

The victim was between the ages of 12 and 16 and under Nash's supervisory control. He had sexually abused the victim for several years prior, according to a news release.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Army CID at Fort Campbell. There isn't parole in the federal system.
