HILLVIEW, Ky. (WDRB) -- In the middle of the night last month, thieves broke into Fast Lane Fades, a barber shop in Hillview and stole thousands of dollars worth of designer shoes.Ā
The owner, Jason Larimore, was proud of the shoe collection he kept at his store. It's where he's been cutting hair for the past three years.
"We were so poor growing up," he said Friday. "I gave away cars, houses, a kidney. I've never kept anything for myself. And that's the one thing I had for myself."
But 11 days later, on Nov. 9, three people returned in the middle of the night, stealing more from Larimore's store.
"One of the greatest gifts I've ever gotten in my whole life is my career," he said Friday, "(The thefts are)Ā the one and only negative thing in the past decade that's happened in my career here."
Surveillance video shows the three suspects leaving with a ladder, cash and a large bag.

"When they took that, it was hard to swallow," he said. "But I know that I'm gonna be very fortunate enough in life to be able to afford a lot more shoes because of my beautiful clients."
Larimore is working closely with Louisville Metro Police investigators, but he said he isn't worried about replacing what he's lost
"I don't want it back, because everything that God takes away from you is going to be replaced with something so much more beautiful and bigger and better," he said. "They can't take my shine."Ā
LMPD has no known suspects, but Larimore said he's "very very sure" that they'll catch the thieves.
Larimore opened Fast Lane Fades on Antle Drive in Hillview during the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information, click here.
