LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man was found dead in the California neighborhood Saturday morning.

According to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis, police responded to a crash near the intersection of 22nd Street and Howard Street at 8:15 a.m. Police said a man was traveling eastbound on Howard Street when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a utility pole. The vehicle continued a short distance before hitting a fence.

The man, who hasn't been identified by authorities, died at the scene.

But police don't believe the crash was the cause of the man's death. LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
