Tracy Davenport mugshot

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The owner of a Louisville area pool company who admitted to taking money from dozens of people and never building pools has finished serving her sentence in Floyd County, Indiana.

Davenport and her husband, Matt Davenport, own Davenport Extreme Pools and Spas. Her charges in Floyd County included theft and corrupt business influence. According to prosecutors, the couple took $245,000 to build pools for customers in Floyd County but the pools were never built.

With credit for time served, Tracy Davenport was released earlier this week from the Rockville Correctional Facility in Rockville, Ind., where she was serving a sentence handed down by a court in Floyd County, Indiana. She was then taken to the Clark County Jail in Jeffersonville, where she is scheduled to stand trial in December on charges of corrupt business influence, theft and fraud.

Davenport is also facing charges in Bullitt County.

In an unrelated case, she was also arrested in New Jersey on drug charges.

According to a news release from James Pfeiffer, the Warren County prosecutor, Davenport was a passenger in a truck driven by Corey B. Young, 38, of Brooks, Kentucky. When New Jersey State Police conducted a commercial vehicle inspection on Route 78, police said they found 179 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $250,000.

They also found a loaded handgun and a large capacity magazine.
